The Project

Holborn Gate is a 1960s commercial office space which has been refurbished to enhance the buildings prominence and visibility from High Holborn. Jesmonite AC730 was the architects preferred material solution for lightweight interior and exterior cladding panels. A bespoke AC730 Pure White colour scheme was required for the external fluted cladding panels, which were installed as a continuous banding across the entire exterior facade of the building.

AC730 Portland Stone was also specified for the internal fluted wall panels across all seven levels of the offices, its low permeability and minuet levels of shrinkage allowed lightweight panels to be created in any size with bespoke surface texture and fine detail.

Both external and internal AC730 panels were treated with Jesmonite Flexiguard Sealer for added durability that prevents soiling and mould growth.
